"Words are the oblique mirrors that hold your thoughts. You gaze into these word-mirrors and catch glimpses of meaning, belonging, and shelter."

Come to Italy and spend a gentle and restorative week reconnecting to your divinely brilliant self!
Through a delicious blend of journaling, guided meditation and creative play, we’ll explore what’s true in our lives right now, and unravel where we’ve been and what’s coming next. Using our journals as portals we’ll uncover the words at the centre of our being and excavate the story threads woven through our lives.
Soul Words could also be called an “analogue” retreat as we step away from our screens and spend an ease-filled week with paper, pens and our tender hearts. And scissors and glue! For yes, we’ll be making things with paper too!
No previous journaling or meditation experience is necessary to attend Soul Words. All you need is a pocket full of curiosity and a willingness to look within — Susannah will be there to guide you every step of the way.

ABOUT THE RETREAT
While you’re here you’ll have all the space you need to rest and recharge — time to read and write, time to take photographs, time to eat (oh my, the food!), time to explore the Tuscan countryside.
You’ll return home restored, holding your soul words like precious jewels, with a deeper connection to your journal and tangible proof of your own magic.

What will a typical day look like?
Our mornings begin slowly with ample time for a homemade breakfast, coffee in the garden, a gentle yoga class if you fancy it or a walk around the grounds. Sessions with Susannah run from mid morning to just before lunch, by which time you’ll be ready for something nourishing and delicious as you integrate our soul-filled time together.
Afternoons are for rest and relaxation. Read, nap, get a massage, knit, do whatever you need to help your mind and body savour this gift of time for yourself.
Our days end with the delights of dinner, time to unwind with your fellow soul word explorers, and from there perhaps a decadently early night? :-)
